    January 28, 2011: Toronto

The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) released another block of over 8000 tickets for the general public yesterday. Having received a spectacular response for the first block of tickets and the growing demand for more, IIFA decided to please their fans by releasing the remainder which sold out very quickly.

IIFA sold the first 5000 tickets within 3 minutes, and a count from Rogers Centre in Toronto states that ticket sales were at an all time high of over 100 tickets being sold every 10 seconds. Online and Telephone queues have been remarkably drawing over 500 people during this time. Rogers Centre, the venue of the 12th Floriana IIFA Awards, informed the organizers that the initial block of tickets were sold out within the first hour of releasing them.

Over 12000 Floriana IIFA Awards tickets for the viewing public and fans have been sold out. Corporate hospitality packages and tourism packages for the Videocon d2h IIFA Weekend and Floriana IIFA Awards are available separately.

The sale of tickets within such short time has surpassed expectations and has been the fastest sale yet exceeding previous years sales, from other IIFA destinations including Singapore, Yorkshire and South Africa, where tickets sold out within 24 hours.

Andre Timmins, Director – Wizcraft International said, “Ticket sales have been unbelievable and we thank all the fans and people around the world for the love and support shown to IIFA over the years. This IIFA is going to be the biggest and the best ever to date.”
