Mumbai, June 5, 2010: IIFA stormed into its second decade of celebrations with a spectacular Awards night, with 3 Idiots winning a majority of the top awards, including the Best Film and Best Director Award. The Micromax IIFA Awards ceremony was held today at the Sughathadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Colombo, 5th June 2010: Videocon IIFA Weekend and Micromax IIFA Awards 2010 was privy to a sneak preview of Zangoora, the gypsy prince - world’s biggest Indian cinematic, themed theatrical musical extravaganza that is slated for a grand opening at the Kingdom of Dreams in July 2010 in India.

As IIFA celebrated its second decade, the Videocon IIFA Weekend held a special night of fashion on Day 2. While the IIFA Bling night was high on style, it concluded with the unveiling of the IIFA Scholarship for a disadvantaged child.

The ‘Cricket for Children’ event, the IIFA Foundation Celebrity Cricket Match, will be played between India’s top cinema stars and Sri Lankan cricketers.

As testament to its mission of integration and building bridges between countries, IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) will spearhead a charity initiative in Sri Lanka as a part of the IIFA Weekend and Award celebrations in Colombo. International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) declared today the winners of the technical award categories for IIFA AWARDS 2010. It was indeed ‘Aal izz Well’ for 3 Idiots who emerged front runners for the honours, winning 8 of the categories of the technical awards. Sujoy Ghosh\'s, Aladin and the Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer, Love Aaj Kal also garnered 2 awards each.

After a successful year for Indian cinema, with stellar performances at the box office, the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) has announced the nominations for the IIFA Awards 2010.
