She was born to parents Mr. Durganand Zinta and Mrs. Nilprabha Zinta on the 31st of January, 1975. Though her parents passed away at a young age but instilled in her deep values for living a great and successful life.
The actor greatly values education. The learned actor has completed her graduation in two fields, namely English literature and Psychology. She has even completed her post-graduation in criminal psychology. Her vast knowledge of Shakespearan dramas is reflected in her great acting prowess. In 2010, the East College of London honoured the actor with an Art degree for her contribution to cinema and humanitarian work.
In the year 2009, the bubbly actor proved she has an equally loving heart when she decided to adopt 34 girls from an orphanage named Mother Miracle, in Rishikesh. She vouched to look after the girls as her own children, being constantly connected with them. This reflects on the true empathy and kindness on the part of the actor.
A fun fact about her is that she is best friends with the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachhan.
