Lesser-known facts about Preity Zinta

The quintessential actor, who has given us incredibly versatile characters, has shown time and becoming an actor is all about good skills, talent and hardwork. She has also greatly impressed upon women’s sartorial fashion choices and garnered attention for all the right reasons. Today, we bring to you some lesser known facts about the much loved pretty woman Preity Zinta:


  1. She is an Army kid which explains the actor’s penchant for hard work, diligence and unmatched work ethics. She was born to parents Mr. Durganand Zinta and Mrs. Nilprabha Zinta on the 31st of January, 1975. Though her parents passed away at a young age but instilled in her deep values for living a great and successful life.



  1. The actor greatly values education. The learned actor has completed her graduation in two fields, namely English literature and Psychology. She has even completed her post-graduation in criminal psychology. Her vast knowledge of Shakespearan dramas is reflected in her great acting prowess. In 2010, the East College of London honoured the actor with an Art degree for her contribution to cinema and humanitarian work.



  1. In the year 2009, the bubbly actor proved she has an equally loving heart when she decided to adopt 34 girls from an orphanage named Mother Miracle, in Rishikesh. She vouched to look after the girls as her own children, being constantly connected with them. This reflects on the true empathy and kindness on the part of the actor.


  1. A fun fact about her is that she is best friends with the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachhan. On the trailer release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the camaraderie between Abhishek Bachhan and her was evidently cute, explaining how she kept watching the trailer on loop because of how stunning Aishwarya was in it.



  1. She has been the youngest owner to co-own an IPL team, Punjab Kings (earlier known as Kings XI Punjab). She co-owns the franchise with Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia and Karan Paul. She is also believed to be the lucky charm for her team!


 

  1. The actor is quite a foodie and knows that food is the ultimate love language. Though particular about her food and fitness in the daily, she loves gorging on goat cheese and kadi chawal, and dal.

  1. Preity Zinta married her longtime-beau, Gene Goodenough in 2016. After dating for nearly 5 years, the couple tied the knot in a Hindu ceremony attended only by close friends and family, in Los Angeles. The couple also auctioned their wedding photos for a charity.
