Shahid Kapoor is one of the most sought-after actors today. It took time for him to climb up the ladder of success, but in the last few years, he has established himself as one of the most bankable actors in the industry. Here are a few films from the actor that are like a must on your watch list.
1. Vivah (2006)
One of the biggest hits of Shahid’s career, Vivah is directed by Suraj Barjatiya. A simple love story where Shahid is a happy-go-lucky guy who is head over heels in love with an innocent girl Pooja.
2. Chup Chup Ke (2006)
Shahid Kapoor’s sense of humor was actively used in this film. A comedy through and through, this film had its audiences in splits with its amazing performances, brilliant cast, and perfect comic timing.
3. Jab We Met (2007)
This was just the onset of the startling success that was awaiting him. Jab We Met will always be one of the most special movies of his career. The movie was a flying success and put him on the map. His acting skills and chemistry with Kareena were much appreciated in the film.
4. Haider (2014)
This was a modern-day adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. It was set against the backdrop of Kashmir, and Shahid did a phenomenal role in portraying the character written for him. This was one of the most important films of his career and he toiled hard to make sure he did full justice to the role written for him.
5. Udta Punjab (2016)
Nobody had ever expected to see so many layers of Shahid as an actor. This film covered that arena for him, and he performed his character most believably. He has a lot more to offer as an actor and a lot of roles to be explored. But this film gave him more respect as a crafted actor.
