5 magnificent roles played by Shraddha Kapoor!

Shradhha Kapoor began her journey in the Indian Cinema with 2010 thriller, Teen-Patti. She made her debut with some big names in the industry like Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Ben Kingsley, and Jackie Shroff. The beginning of her career was as fabulous as her on-screen acting skills. Though the movie was panned by the critics it was a box office hit. Soon she made an appearance in the lead role in 2011 comedy drama ‘Luv Ka The End’. Though the movie received positive reviews, it was not as successful as her debut. 


Over the span of two decades, she has made her place in the hearts of her fans and has become one of the highest paid actresses of Bollywood. She’s known to play a variety of roles. Some of the magnificent roles played by Shraddha Kapoor are as follows:


  1. Aarohi Keshav Shirke, Aashiqui 2:


    Her role in Aashiqui 2 was the one that made her place in the Bollywood. A bar singer who aspires to become a playback singer, meets a her idol Rahul Jaykar who promises to change her life. This movie was a breakthrough for Shraddha Kapoor. The fans loved their chemistry and the songs are still in their hearts and playlists.




  1. Arshia Lone, Haider:


    Her role as Arshia in Haider was inspired by the character Ophelia, in Shakespear’s tragedy, Hamlet. The story revolves around the insurgencies in Kashmir, where a boy returns home in search of his father. She played the role of the daughter of an Indian Army Officer and a journalist, who helps Haider search for his father. The movie won several accolades and was screened at the Rome Film Festival. There, it was awarded with the People’s Choice Award. 




  1. Maya Pathak, Chhichhore:


    The movie was a coming-of-age comedy drama directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Shraddha played the role of a middle-aged divorced mother. When her son jumps off the balcony with the fear of being called a loser, her husband Anni (Sushant Singh Rajput) revisits his college days and narrates the story in order to inspire his son to recover. During the process, he reunites with his old friends. The movie was a box office hit and was loved by all the audience.




  1. Haseena Parkar, Haseena Parkar:


    The movie was based on the life of the Godmother of Nagpada and the sister of Dawood Ibrahim. Her role in the movie was completely opposite of what she has been portrayed as in most of her movies. Though the movie was criticized by the critics, Shraddha succeeded in portraying her role well.




  1. Sia, Baaghi:


    The action thriller film, Baaghi was one of the most loved movies of Shraddha Kapoor. The movie revolves around a martial arts student who seeks revenge after his master was murdered. She was seen throwing some action-packed punches in the movie. 




From Aarohi Keshav Shirke in Aashiqui 2, to Siya Nanda in Baaghi 3, Shraddha Kapoor has been ruling hearts of her fans with her fantastic performances.
