7 Bollywood Films That Will Make you Fall In Love With Sports

Bollywood and sports are synonymous with entertainment. If we are not watching a movie, we are definitely watching sports. Now when these two come together, it gets our blood pumping and heart racing. There is hardly anyone who is not fond of movies, and just in case if you are missing that sporty energy, we have got some movies to awaken the beast within. Let’s get going.

  1. Chak De! India:

Be it playing a villain that sends chills down your spine or a hero that sweeps you off your feet, Shahrukh Khan has been ruling hearts ever since he stepped into Bollywood. His character, Kabir Singh in Chak De! India is one of those many inspirational roles he has played. The story of a former Hockey player and his struggles to make Indian Women’s Hockey Team a world champion and win back his reputation. That ‘Sattar Minute’ dialogue and the feeling of pride when ‘Maula Mere Lele Meri Jaan’ is played is enough make you fall in love with sports and ofcourse, Shahrukh Khan.

  1. Panga:

The name defines what Jaya (Kangana Ranaut) was doing when she stood against stereotypical society to fulfill her dreams. Her 7-year-old son became her biggest strength and supported her throughout her journey. Even though it was hard to get back into her previous physique of a Kabbadi Champion, she did it anyways.

  1. Dangal:

If the movie is starring Mr. Perfectionist of Indian film industry, then it’s bound to be perfect. Based on the life of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari, it’s a portrayal of efforts. Efforts of a former wrestler to see his nation win a gold medal and efforts of a father fighting against a whole community, to let her daughters into a sport ‘meant for boys’. He is ready to stand against his own daughters to watch his dreams come true. An empowering movie that proves ‘Mhaari Chhoriyaan Chhorn Se Kam Hai Ke’.

  1. M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story:

One thing about Dhoni is that no matter if you are into sports or not, you love him. His hard work and dedication has brought him to this stage in his life. The movie, as the name suggest is his biography. Besides being and amazing movie it was also the turning point in Sushant Singh Rajput’s career. All of it made him the most desirable captain of the Indian cricket team.

  1. Mary Kom:

The story of six times World Champion and Olympic Bronze Medalist Mary Kom, known as Magnificent Mary. Her journey was portrayed by Priyanka Chopra. Mary has been inspiration to many, be it men or women. The story is about stubbornness to achieve what you want from life despite the roller coaster ride that life takes you on. It is about her love for boxing, that was strong enough to make her choose it over her father.

  1. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag:

The movie is a biopic, based on the life of the flying sikh, Milkha Singh portrayed by Farhan Akhtar. Set in the times of partition, the movie shows how he lost his parents and worked through his failures to achieve his title. On the days when you feel low and need a little push, watch Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. It is the perfect source of inspiration.

  1. Gold:
