A Ride Through Bollywood's Scariest Movie Characters

It's that time of the year!

Get ready for the spooks and chills that mark the end of October.

To celebrate this occasion, we have a blog on some of the scariest movie characters in Bollywood films who can really make your hair stand on end.

Manjulika - Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007)

This character needs no introduction, especially to horror movie fans. Monjolika, played by Vidya Balan in the iconic movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa really sent shivers down everyone’s spine. Her dance to the song “Ami Je Tomar” really stands out and is able to make people reasonably uncomfortable.

Rukshana - Pari (2018)

Played by Anushka Sharma, the character of Rukshana in Pari is another one to make viewers curl up under the blanket and hold their breath. Playing the role of a demonic child, Sharma looks terrifying in a humble salwar-kurta, thanks to the intense make-up and spine chilling acting.

Diana - Ek Thi Daayan (2013)

No scary movie character list is ever complete without the mention of witches, and that is just who Konkona Sen Sharma plays in the movie Ek Thi Daayan. Konkona embodies the darkness of her character beautifully and appears enigmatic yet horrifying. She might look just like a regular woman in the movie, but you will never suspect the moment when she unleashes the horrors.

Swati - Bhoot (2003)

Urmila Matondkar plays the role of a possessed woman in the horror drama Bhoot. She puts on a terrifying act as someone who has been recently possessed and is able to make the movie infinitely scarier for audiences.

Mini - Raat (1992)

Ram Gopal Varma's Raat nails the art of subtle horror. Revathi stars as Mini who is a regular college student but transforms into something eerie after getting possessed by a murdered person. She then goes on to commit some seriously creepy acts throughout the movie, which leaves audiences shocked and scared.
