Bollywood movies with picturesque locations

Bollywood films and their locations have always been an intriguing topic among the audience. People are thrilled to visit places where the films were shot and these films have become a part of the history of some of these locations. Mark these locations on the map for your next trip:

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge:

Switzerland is considered one of the most beautiful places in the world and it was DDLJ who cemented the romantic locations of Switzerland in our minds. The film was shot at multiple locations across the country laying the foundation for Raj-Simran’s romance.

Kaho Naa Pyar Hai:

Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai was shot at Krabi Island in Thailand. The scenic location was the ‘deserted island’ where Rohit and Sonia get stuck after drifting away from their cruise ship. The scene has the perfect balance of romance and hilarity, not to forget the iconic dance step to the title song, Kaho Naa Pyar Hai.

Kal Ho Naa Ho:

Kal Ho Naa Ho was shot in New York City and the Brooklyn Bridge features heavily in the film. Among the locations in the film was Times Square, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Central Park, Grand Central Station and even Wall Street.

Rockstar:

Rockstar has incredible locations, especially in the songs of the film. The movie was shot in parts of Prague, Czech Republic. The songs ‘Aur Ho’ and ‘Hawa Hawa’ were shot in the Prague countryside and the stairs of Prague Castle, Sychrov Castle and Charles Bridge, respectively.

Dostana:

Dostana featured the scenic beaches of Miami, with The Miami Beach and South Beach Ocean Drive used extensively in the film. The film takes the audience on a tour of the city capturing its nightlife perfectly.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan:

The late Yashji loved introducing foreign locations in his films and Jab Tak Hai Jaan was no exception. The film has been extensively shot in England and includes the picturesque locations of the majestic Westminster Bridge and the Palace of Westminster.

Tamasha:

The movie’s iconic line “What happens in Corsica, stays in Corsica” stayed with the Indian audience as well. The city looked like a travel postcard with the local flavour accentuated in the film, making it the next destination to plan the perfect escape.

Highway:

Highway not only stood out in plot and the treatment of characters but also for the scenic locations all over India. It captures the remote Sangla Valley in Himachal Pradesh, the Aru Valley and Chandanwari near Pahalgam, and the plains of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab. The simplicity of this natural beauty coupled with the story of Veera stayed in the hearts of the audience.

Mark these spots as your next travel destination so you can be part of the history of these incredible films!
