Looking back on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Journey in B-town

One of the most beautiful actresses in Bollywood, Aishwarya Rai has had a very interesting acting journey as well. After winning the title of Miss World in 1994, Aishwarya started to dabble in acting. Read on to look back on some of the roles that she has wowed us with. 


Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya 

Aish made her Bollywood debut in Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, a romantic comedy, which came back in the year 1997. She starred opposite Bobby Deol giving a performance that would be remembered by the masses for a while to come.



Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

Aishwarya plays a character with a range of emotions in the 1999 romantic drama Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. She plays her character Nandini with passion and really holds audiences’ attention during the entire course of the movie.



Josh 

Josh, which came out in 2000, saw Aishwarya Rai Bachcan play the role of a rowdy orphan who belonged to a motorcycle crew. Starring alongside the King of Bollywood, SRK, Aish really held her own and pulled off the role with effortless charm.


Devdas

One of her most iconic roles, Aishwarya played the character of Paro with sincerity and emotion that left the audiences in awe of her performance. Having come out in the year 2002, Devdas cemented her image as an actress. 




Dhoom 2 

In a spectacular pairing with Hrithik Roshan, we got to see Aishwarya in a completely different light as the sly and resourceful mastermind Sunheri in Dhoom 2. This movie came out in 2006 and put her on the charts as the diva who can also pull off a challenging role. 




Jodha Akbar

In 2008, audiences got the chance to see Aishwarya in a regal look as Maharani Jodha Bai in the movie Jodha Akbar. Playing opposite Hrithik Roshan again, Aishwarya truly showcases her versatility and diverse skills in this movie winning all our hearts  




Ae Dil Hai Mushkil 

In another iconic role, Aish was near perfect as the enigmatic and beautiful Saba in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Playing the older love interest of Kapoor’s character Ayan, Aish brought a maturity and heart to the role that was hard to forget.
