The name Amitabh Bachchan has been around for more than two decades in Indian cinema. With more than 190 feature films, special appearances, songs, and popular TV show hosts, the great actor is known as the Shahenshah of Bollywood.
1. Shahenshah (1988)
With the famous dialogue from the protagonist, "Rishte mein toh hum tumhare baap lagte hain, naam hai Shahenshah", Amitabh Bachchan is indeed the Shahenshah of Bollywood.
2. Deewar (1975)
Yet another Yashraj masterpiece that came in the 70s was Deewar. Almost half a century old yet has the potential to blow you off your feet. Amitabh Bachchan yet did not fail to deliver stellar performance with this one.
3. Don (1978)
"Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi ... namumkin hai."
Indeed it was impossible for any movie to not perform at the box office with Amitabh Bachchan starring in it.
4. Sholay (1975)
In the movie Sholey, the story, the plot, the writing, the cast, and the direction were just flawless. It can be said that for Sholay, the greatest cast ever assembled to produce the best story ever. This was yet another Golden Jewel performance under the belt for Amitabh Bachchan.
5. Paa (2009)
Indeed, one of the most challenging roles played by the Shahenshah of Bollywood. A performance that took the audience on a roller-coaster ride of emotions. Truly a masterclass!
