After working as an assistant director, Rakesh Roshan stepped into Bollywood as an actor with a supporting role in Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani (1970)!

Ten years later, in 1980, he started his own production company called Filmkraft which included films like Kaamchor (1980)!

In 1987, he made his directorial debut with the successful multi-starrer Khudgarz, featuring stars like Jeetendra, Shatrughan Sinha, Govinda, Bhanupriya, Amrita Singh, and Neelam Kothari!

A major milestone in his directorial journey came with the Rekha-starrer Khoon Bhari Maang (1988), which turned out to be a massive success!

As a director, he then went on to Bollywood, some of its biggest masterpieces in the form of movies like Karan Arjun (1995) and Koyla (1997)!
