Films that had the saddest ending

The movie's ending plays a very important role in making it memorable. Most Bollywood movies have happy endings. Seeing a happy ending makes you come out of the theater happy. However, some Bollywood movies have really sad endings. To tell the truth, tragic movie endings are worse than open-ended ones. A few examples are -

1. Devdas (2002)

It is one of the blockbuster films in Bollywood that has a very very tragic end. After seeing the love of his life get married to someone else, Sharukh becomes a drunkard and ultimately takes his last breath outside the house of his one true love.

2. Tere Naam (2003)
The Bollywood movie shows an obsessive lover Salman who loses his sanity after a gang of thugs hit him on his head. However, after coming back from his long treatment, he finds out that the love of his life has passed on leaving him behind with all the suffering.

3. Rang De Basanti (2006)
From cool and chilled-out friends to young rebels, the movie is very heart-touching. The young protagonists capture All India Radio station, open up on the radio, and are gunned to death inside, martyred by the media as the country saw the whole thing on TV.

4. Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013)
Two young bloods fall in love, and their lust is very strong. However, even after eloping, they get caught and are forced to fight against each other due to family rivalries. Both Ranveer and Deepika tragically kill each other to end their love story.

5. Raanjhanaa (2013)
What starts as a romantic and cute story between the couple takes a dark turn. Dhanush tries his best to win the love of Sonam but everything he does seems to push her even further. In the end, she gets him killed as she feels he was the reason behind the death of her to-be-husband.
