1. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001)

This 2001 family drama directed by Karan Johar is one of the most iconic Bollywood movies. The scene where Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) reunites with his father (Amitabh Bachchan) and mother (Jaya Bachchan) after being estranged for many years is one of the most emotional moments in Indian cinema.



2. Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003)
This 2003 romantic drama directed by Nikkhil Advani is a tearjerker for many. The movie revolves around the story of Aman Mathur, who suffers from a fatal heart disease. The film's climax, where Aman dies, leaves many viewers in tears.


3. Taare Zameen Par (2007)
This 2007 drama film directed by Aamir Khan is a heartwarming story about a young boy named Ishaan who struggles with dyslexia. The scene where Ishaan's father realizes his son's talent and apologizes for not understanding him earlier leaves many viewers emotional.


4. Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015)
This 2015 drama film directed by Kabir Khan is a heartwarming story of a young Pakistani girl who gets lost in India and is helped by an Indian man named Pavan (Salman Khan) to reunite with her family. The climax, where Munni (Harshaali Malhotra) finally meets her mother, leaves many viewers in tears.


5. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016)
This 2016 romantic drama directed by Karan Johar is a story about unrequited love. The movie features an ensemble cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The climax, where Ayan (Ranbir Kapoor) realizes that Alizeh (Anushka Sharma) will never love him the way he loves her, is a heartbreaking moment.
