Films that were so big, they literally became a fashion trend

Bollywood movies have constantly included a substantial amount of fashion ideas that went on to become a trend for the audience. There are endless examples throughout the years, so let's revisit a few to comprehend why it happens.

1. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998)

With its cycle of drama elements, shattered friendships, and gorgeous ensembles, ' Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' has moved us to tears, laughter, and love. Rani Mukherjee was moving in jazzy bodycon dresses with matching chokers, while Kajol nailed the swing cut, jumpsuit, and dungaree on shirt style. Shah Rukh Khan in the film looked dapper in his polo shirt and chains.



2. Dil Chahta Hai (2001)
From the design to the novel plot, this movie transformed the way we perceive Bollywood movies. Speaking of the former, we noticed some interesting sunglasses, Hawaiian shirts, fisherman's hats, and, most significantly, the metallic and leather pants that the trio wore in the song ‘Koi Kahe Kehta Rahe.’ 


3. Jab We Met (2007)
Kareena Kapoor, in Imtiaz Ali's ‘Jab We Met,’ was the first person to successfully wear shirts and Patiala trousers while maintaining a stylish appearance. Everyone made an effort to adopt this combination as their personal fashion slogan for a while.


4. Wake Up Sid (2009)
The patterned shirts that Ranbir Kapoor wore in ‘Wake Up Sid' became a hugely popular fashion trend. Even the boxers he wore in the film were important role models for aficionados of design. It was also discovered, later through the film’s promotional interviews, that the majority of the boxers he wore in the film were from his personal collection.


5. Cocktail (2012)
With the release of this film, Aztec patterns, and Coachella-inspired clothing became the new rage among teenagers. The movie, which came out in 2012, gave the actors a significantly more avant-garde appearance. Crowds went wild after seeing Deepika in sequined swimsuits alongside breathtaking seaside views.
