Amitabh Bachchan has been ruling the reigns of Bollywood for the last 50 years. He is not just a versatile actor but also the Shahenshah of our hearts. So here are some lesser-known trivia about the megastar who we all love.
1. More double roles than any other actor
The star has played double roles in more than 14 films which is the highest as compared to any other actor. In 1983, he played a triple role in the film ‘Mahaan’
2. A rejected Radio Jockey
While he was in Calcutta, he tried to become a Radio Jockey at All India Radio but was rejected because they felt his voice was not meant for the radio. In later years Amitabh Bachchan become a heartthrob superstar and one of the main reasons was his unique voice.
3. The First Choice for Mr India
Amitabh Bachan was Mr India's first choice but rejected the role, which was later passed on to Anil Kapoor.
4. Knight of the Legion of Honour
Mr Bachchan has been awarded France`s highest civilian honour Knight of the Legion of Honour in 2007 for his exceptional work in world cinema and beyond. He also received Padma Shri in 1984, Padma Bhushan in 2001 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
