Movies that are truly inspired from Hollywood
Remakes are part and parcel of every cinema industry. We all run out of ideas at some point and need a bit of inspiration from others. Bollywood movies also went off on the quest to look for new concepts and stories and here is what we got!
1. Chachi 420 (1997)
This unofficial remake of Mrs. Doubtfire has to be on our list of Bollywood remakes of Hollywood movies. Starring Kamal Haasan and Tabu, Chachi 420 was a laughter riot. From chaos to confusion and comedy, the movie had every aspect that made it a full fun-filled family film.
2. Kucch Toh Hai (2003)
From "Dil Ding Dong Ding Dole" to "Kya Pyaar Karoge Mujhse and Hai Rey", the songs added a bit of colour and a splash of romance in this unofficial Bollywood remake of the thrilling Hollywood movie – I Know What You Did Last Summer.
3. Deewane Huye Paagal (2005)
Ever heard the saying 1 anaar 2 beemar?
Change it to 1 anaar aur kaayi beemar and you can easily figure out the plot of this unofficial remake of There’s Something About Mary. Fun-packed and filled with various male characters trying to woo the female lead in interesting ways this movie was a 10/10 entertainer and one of our personal favourites.
4. Dil Bechara(2020)
An official Bollywood remake of the Hollywood movie - The Fault In Our Stars. A bittersweet love story of two cancer patients left almost all the viewers teary-eyed. The movie was an adaptation of the book of the same name written by the famous author John Green.
5. Laal Singh Chadda (2022)
Laal Singh Chaddha is the latest in the list of Bollywood remakes of Hollywood movies. This upcoming venture of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, a remake of the classic Forrest Gump, has already excited film enthusiasts to see whether it matches up to the hype of the original movie.
