Movies that should be on your binge-list this new year

Everyone is rejoicing that the year 2022 is finally about to end. This year was nothing less than a roller coaster for many. Going back to a normal schedule after the pandemic has been a challenge but we were lucky enough to be showered by some amazing films.

End this year on a good note and watch these movies with your loved ones.

1. Gangubai Kathiyawadi

Starring Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn, Gangubai Kathiawadi is modern Bollywood’s most visually intoxicating work. A loose biopic based on the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, it follows a young girl sold into prostitution, Ganga (Bhatt), and her subsequent 1960s rise to crime-boss madame and, eventually, pro–sex work politician.

2. Drishyam 2

The sequel of one of the most intriguing films was released this year. Drishyam 2 is a suspenseful-thriller movie where the lead protagonist, Ajay Devgan, tries his best to cover up a crime in the hope of saving his family.

3. Uunchai

Uuchai scales a new height with its storyline and plot. With a star cast like Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and Boman Irani, the film inspires a group of friends to get out of their comfort zone and do something audacious like climbing the highest peak in the world.

4. Laal Singh Chadda

Laal Singh Chadda is a comedy-drama film starring Aamir Khan. Laal Singh Chaddha, a man with a low IQ, recounts the early years of his life to a passenger on a train. Now, his only wish is to be reunited with his childhood sweetheart, Rupa (Kareena Kapoor).

5. Brahmastra Part One: Shiva

One of the best fantasy action-adventure films written and directed by Ayan Mukharji gained quite a lot of popularity this year. A young man on the brink of falling in love gets his world turned upside down when he discovers he has the power to control fire and a connection to a secret society of guardians.
