On-screen pairs that made us believe in true love!

Nobody does love stories better than Bollywood. The trope of love in Bollywood has been evergreen ever since the olden days. On-screen couples reel in audiences with their magical chemistry. Sometimes the love portrayed by these couples is so real that the audience starts imagining them in real-life scenarios. Let us take a trip down memory lane for some of these on-screen pairs that made us believe in true love:

Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan:

Two incredibly gorgeous people on the silver screen sharing electric chemistry is the best way to describe this pair. With Dhoom 2 and Jodhaa Akbar, Hrithik and Aishwarya were the best couple on screen. The leading pair complemented each other really well on screen much to the joy of the audience.

Aamir Khan-Juhi Chawla:

Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla made their debut together in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988 and thus started a beautiful journey of the on-screen pair. The banter and chemistry that they shared made the audience fall in love with the actors and the devotion they brought to their craft. The short moments they share in the opening scenes of Andaz Apna Apna could not hide the chemistry the pair had.

Kajol-Shah Rukh Khan:

The golden pair of cinema, Kajol and Shahrukh Khan have appeared in countless films together and still are one of the most loved on-screen pairs in the industry. Their pairing is so iconic that their film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge is still screened at Maratha Mandir in Mumbai. If that doesn’t spell ‘couple goals’ we don’t know what does.

Madhuri Dixit Nene-Anil Kapoor:

Delivering hits like Ram Lakhan, Beta, Tezaab, Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit cracked the formula to become the rulers of Bollywood as an on-screen pair. The tough, macho man and the feminine, graceful lady love was a combination that shone brightly on the silver screen.

Shilpa Shetty-Akshay Kumar:

Although the jodi was controversial because of their personal lives, Shilpa Shetty and Akshay Kumar were sizzling on-screen. The films they starred in captivated the audience and made them the couple to look out for.

Karisma Kapoor-Govinda:

When it comes to Karishma and Govinda, one is not complete without the other. The pair was on-screen for the longest time and the dances they performed are still lauded by the audience. The chemistry and banter were electric and the romance was palpable.

Preity Zinta-Saif Ali Khan:

Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan brought magic with them whenever they were in a film together. Salaam Namaste, Kal Ho Naa Ho and Kya Kehna became hits because of the chemistry they shared. The bubbly Preity Zinta completed the boy-next-door in Saif Ali Khan.

Alia Bhatt-Varun Dhawan:

Alia Bhat and Varun Dhawan are friends in real life and the closeness they share is visible on the screen as well. The couple were first seen together in Student of the Year and have delivered phenomenal performances together.

Salman Khan-Madhuri Dixit Nene:

Salman Khan has the quality to look great with any leading lady. However, his pairing with Madhuri was the one that got the most love. Whether it was as friends in Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam or as lovers in Hum Aapke Hain Koun! Madhuri and Salman were perfect for each other.
