Top 5 epic debuts that got big openings
They came and they conquered. Yes, we are talking about actors who hit a home run with their first film itself. Whether or not they could retain that success is a whole other story, but the performance in the first film by these stars definitely made a place in our hearts.
1. Kaho Na...Pyar Hai (2000)
Hrithik Roshan is without a doubt one of the biggest actors in Bollywood and he has held that position for many years in the industry dominated by Khans and the Kapoors. Following the release of the film, Hrithik became a superstar. and the media termed his successful debut as ‘Hrithik Mania’ since he was all everyone spoke about at the time.

2. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (2008)
The storyline takes us through the journey of their college life which helped the film establish a connection with the younger audience of the country. Imran Khan already had a lot of expectations before the release since he is the nephew of Aamir Khan. But, with the film, he surpassed those expectations and became another Hindi Superhit movie that featured debutants.

3. Band Baaja Baraat (2010)
Band Baaja Baarat was a complete entertainment package for the Bollywood cinema lover. It is filled with romance, humor, color, energy, and pep. The film starred Ranveer Singh, who made his Bollywood debut, and Anushka Sharma, who was just two films old at the time. But, the level of comfort of the two stars on screen definitely did not make it feel like they are newcomers.

4. Vicky Donor (2012)
Normally newcomers opt for projects that follow tried and tested formulas of Hindi superhit movies. But this wasn’t the case with Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam. Ayushmann and Yami took such a big risk to prove that they are not the ones who would back down thinking about how the audience would react, as they had enough belief in their work.

5. Student of the year (2012)
If Karan Johar feels that someone has what it takes, then you have to agree with the man’s judgment. It was a similar case with Student Of The Year. Aside from their family name, Alia, Varun, and Sidharth were considered to be nobody before the audience saw them on screen. But, after the movie, they definitely proved that they are here to stay.
