1. Mr. India (1987)
This 1987 hit directed by Shekhar Kapur, starring Anil Kapoor, Sridevi, and Amrish Puri, was the second highest-grossing film that year. Mr. India had the famous line “Mogambo khush hua” (Mogambo is pleased), and evergreen songs like ‘Hawa hawai‘ and ‘I love you.’

2. Koi... Mil Gaya (2003)
Directed by Rakesh Roshan and starring his Greek God of a son Hrithik Roshan, the film is about Rohit, a mentally unstable child. He accidentally sends out a signal to aliens who visit Earth. They leave an alien behind who changes Rohit’s life and makes him super smart. The film was indeed ahead of its time.

3. Krrish (2006)
The sequel to Koi… Mil Gaya, Krrish, or Krishna is Rohit’s son who is born with superpowers and is very good at hiding them. He meets a girl, falls in love, and fights the bad guy. Krrish is seen in an all-black outfit with a tiny mask, the only thing hiding his identity. The action sequel definitely gave birth to the superhero universe in India.

4. Ra. One (2011)
One of the most talked about movies during 2011 was Ra. One. Director Anubhav Sinha did a splendid job in finding the best from Bollywood to be cast in this film. The film did exceptionally well at the box office and got a lot of appraisal for the story and execution.
